Aviation:
The liberalisation of the aviation sector in India and arrival of low cost airlines has given domestic tourism a boost. What was traditionally a luxury mode of transportation has now become accessible to the masses. And with Lonely Planet selecting the country among the top five destinations from 167 countries, India has finally made its mark on the world travel map of international tourism. Projected figures indicate that over 70 million passengers are expected to fly by the year 2014. Such expansion has led to a corresponding increase in demand for trained personnel, making aviation a lucrative career option.

Hospitality:
The hospitality sector in India is expected to attract an investment of US $ 11 billion with 40 international hotel brands making their presence in the country in the next few years. There are only about 1,980 hotels approved and classified by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, with a total capacity of about 110,000 hotel rooms. 3-5 star hotels account for 65% of rooms. The two metros of Mumbai & New Delhi cater for 60% of the 5 star hotels. The shortage of rooms all over India is attracting international brands to move in and build more hotels. There is a drastic shortage of trained man power in the hospitality sector today.

Tourism:

Tourism is the largest service industry in India. India has more than five million foeign tourists arriving annually and over 500 million domestic tourism visitors. According to the World Tourism Organization (WTO), international tourist influx in India is expected to grow to 6 million by 2010 and 10 million by 2020. India is fast becoming a preferred destination among European and American tourists because of its cultural heritage. The employment potential in tourism industry today is the highest that it has been in the last 10 years.

Aviation hospitality & Tourism:
Are inextricably linked to each other and the growth of any one of them adds fillip to the entire service industry. The recent surge in aviation & hospitality sectors propelled by growth of tourism has given rise to an unprecedented requirement of trained man power. AIDA’s advise ‘Get Trained to Get Placed’ has never been more true than NOW…
